Hey! I’m Launching a Podcast!!!

Or, Standing at The Intersection of Start and Finish

I am getting ready to launch my podcast, The Workbench this week.  To be more specific, the launch is tomorrow, Monday, August 19th.  I’ve been burning hot to work on this gorgeous summer weekend because I see the finish line, and this project has been a work in progress for a few years now.  Two years considering the idea and then another year bringing it to fruition.  And by launching the first season, this represents a finish line for me and a starting line for the life of this entity, this body of work. While the work will continue, a big milestone has been reached.  It has definitely been a journey.

Some words to describe the work on this project:

Hope – Excitement – Research – Tenacity – Discussion and Discourse – Questioning – Practice – Reflection – Doubt – Fatigue – Impatience –  Joy – Focus – Trust – Fulfillment

One of the many lessons (re)learned and practiced during this project is that of staying in some form of mind and body harmony.  That is why I have been focused this summer on exercise, fun, and joy amidst the work.  There has been swimming, ice cream, beer on the patio; there have been late nights and early mornings, and fitting work into the small spaces that open up during the day.  There’s sleep when fatigued, family time, walks, talks, some tears, and let’s face it, those of you who know me know how impatient I can be.

There were many moments of feeling overwhelmed.  How the hell am I supposed to find the time to learn recording software and editing?  Where do I even start? Oh, and maybe turn on the mic when “recording.”  That lesson was learned more than once, and yes I swore like a sailor.  And maybe put the dog in the other room.  There is nothing like learning by doing.  Mother of god,  there were several times I considered throwing in the towel.  Every time though, the word tenacity came to mind, and I knew quitting wasn’t an option.

So, on this eve of launch, I am contemplating this intersection of start and finish, these words that embody the process, and the fulfillment this moment holds.  And I am so grateful for the help and support received along this journey.

So, what would you like to build or create?  Join us this week –  a short Workbench Foundation episode will be available on Monday, and EP 01 – All About the Build will be available on Tuesday.  I invite you to check it out.  Search Apple Podcasts for Kristina Au, or go to my website at Kristinaau.com.

If so inclined, take a moment this week to download, rate, review, share, subscribe – any or all that feel comfortable.  The more attention this gets early on, the more notice it will get with others.  Help me get the word out – this is how these things grow.  Many thanks!

About The Workbench

It’s about all forms of my favorite topic:  Personal Growth.  My vision is to share ideas, practical wisdom, conversations and interviews with people in the process of pursuing their own big dreams.  Any idea or concept that is in service to this is open for discussion.   Topics will be wide ranging and include both practical advice alongside an exploration of inner growth – those unseen things that play into our growing confidence in the ideas we want to manifest.  Like a physical workbench, it is a foundation:  a place to lay out a blueprint, plan, and a space in which to work.  Close by, there are many tools – resources to assist with the process.  Join us on this journey!

Shout out!
A special shout out to my husband Tim and our son Alex for putting up with all the hours spent on this project – your help and support, advice and counsel have been exceptional!  Thank you!
