“Let Life In and Let You Out”

“We let life in by relating our expectations to the world around us and the future as we anticipate it.  We let ourselves out – to become – as we focus on many other-directed things.  Such things include humor and laughter, reinforcing strengths of self; warm, reciprocal relationships, good food and drink; eagerness for change; good books and conversation; the joy of discovery; and so much more.  Remember:  A stretching and transcendent goal etches out and confirms the reality and identity of you.”                          —Joe Batten

This essay was one that has influenced the journey into understanding my own essence and has nourished the desire to help others dig in, unearth and grow their own self-understanding, upon which they can build and create, with clarity, their own version of a fulfilling and rewarding life.  The work I am interested in – it is ongoing, ever changing and requires the hunger and ambition to keep pushing and stretching…To Become.

Don’t worry if others think your light is too bright, or if you sing too loud!  There are sunglasses and earplugs for those who can’t handle your particular wattage.   Happy Sunday All!
